Girls GYMNASTICS Recreational
Our Recreational Program serves the athlete that is just entering into the sport of gymnastics with the hopes of possibly participating in competitive gymnastics/Xcel in the future or simply trying to reach their highest potential in the sport. It also accommodates the child that only wishes to do gymnastics as a way to obtain more coordination as well as flexibility.
PRICES FOR MULTIPLE CLASSES PER WEEK
1 -Recreation class per week - $78.25 per month
2 -Recreation classes per week - $135.00 per month
3 -Recreation classes per week $183.00 per month
All recreation classes participate in our yearly "EXTRAVAGANZA" recital in November which showcases their skills achieved.

BEGINNER GIRLS
(Ages 5-6, and 7 & up)
This is an introductory class for girls who have little or no previous gymnastics experience. This class concentrates on strength, flexibility, familiarization with terms and the four Olympic events (vault, bars, beam & floor), as well as trampoline, floor & beam dance.
Children under 7 will remain in the beginner 5/6 class until they reach the age of 7. Even if you feel your child has excelled in the 5/6 class they are not eligible to move up to the main gym until the age of 7. During the month of April-May one of our upper level team coaches will hold evaluations at which time your child under 7 may be considered for an advanced program.

Intermediate girls
A child will progress to the intermediate class upon 12 months of continuous gymnastics training or when a coach performs an evaluation and verifys the child has mastered the beginner skills necessary to progress to the intermediate class. Regular evaluations are performed April-May of each year. At that time it will be determined if your child is eligible to move up to the next level. Note: A coach may recommend moving up a child at any time if they see they have mastered the skills required for the level. Coaches also reserve the right to move a child down a level if the skill set needed has not been mastered or if skills and strength have been lost due to an extended break in attendance. (example: summer break from gymnastics.)

Advanced girls
This class concentrates on those skills required to make the Developmental Team or Xcel. It is our policy that your child must have a coach's recommendation and be tested to advance to this class.
After completing the beginner and intermediate girls classes you may participate in the Girls Advanced class (if selected). This class is considered a Pre-team for our girls Developmental Travel Program or our Xcel prgram. Girls who participate in this class will also participate in 4 In-house competitions during August through November. There is also an additional $50 Assessment Fee each month for the in-house competitions. (You may elect to stay in this program and not move into the competitive travel team if that is not your desire.)
The skills learned in the Intermediate class must be mastered prior to moving to this class. This class requires two nights of practice per week. Note: A coach may recommend moving up a child at any time if they see they have mastered the skills required for the level. Coaches also reserve the right to move a child down a level if the skill set needed has not been mastered or if skills and strength have been lost due to an extended break in attendance. (example: summer break from gymnastics)
Students will remain in this class until they have mastered the required Advanced skills. Parents will then be notified by letter sometime in May if their child is ready to move up.
